From New York City, Philadelphia, or Anywhere in New Jersey by Train or Bus:
NJ Transit provides accessible travel via rail and bus from all over New Jersey, New York City and Philadelphia. Please visit www.njtransit.com to plan your itinerary. The closest train station to the New Jersey Convention & Exposition Center is Metuchen Station. For example, if you are coming from Manhattan, log onto www.njtransit.com and find the Trip Planner at the top of the home page. Enter Penn Station New York in "Travel From," enter Metuchen Station in "Travel To," indicate your preferred day and time of travel, and click the Accessible option if appropriate. The travel planner will do the rest!

If you are a person with a disability, we have a complimentary shuttle service to the convention center (see next section) available for you. If you are not a person with a disability or travelling with one, please secure alternate transportation from the station to the Expo.

Free Curbside Shuttle Service from Metuchen Station:
Shuttle Service to be determined
Complimentary MV-1 transportation service will be available for people with disabilities travelling from Metuchen Station to the New Jersey Convention & Exposition Center. Each MV-1 vehicle can hold one wheelchair and approximately three able-bodied individuals comfortably. The MV-1 has been designed to accommodate 95% of all passengers, and to be ADA/CSA compliant. Each van can easily accommodate wheelchairs that are 30” wide and 48” long, which is the ADA “standard.”

There will be 3 vehicles running all 3 show days on a continuous loop to and from the Metuchen Station and the New Jersey Convention & Exposition Center. Round trip is approximately one hour.

Passengers may be picked up and dropped off at both the north and south sides of Metuchen Station according to the following schedule:

• Friday , May 20: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm (Last pick up from the train station is at 4:00 pm)
• Saturday, May 21: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm (Last pick up from the train station is at 4:00 pm)
• Sunday, May 22: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm (Last pick up from the train station is at 3:00 pm)  

If you do not see the van with the Abilities Expo logo in the window when you arrive, look for the signage at the station and await the van’s return.

Free Curbside Shuttle Service from the Sheraton Hotel and the Hilton Garden Inn:
Shuttle Service to be determined

Complimentary shuttle service will also be available for people with disabilities from outside the main lobby of both the Sheraton Hotel and the Hilton Garden Inn to the New Jersey Convention & Exposition Center. The shuttle van—equipped with lift—can hold one wheelchair and several additional able-bodied individuals comfortably. The shuttle service—one van running on a cont      inuous loop to and from the Expo—will run according to the following schedule:

• Friday, May 20: 7:30 am (first van can leave hotel) – 7:00 pm (last van should leave NJCC)
• Saturday, May 21: 8:30 am – 7:00 pm
• Sunday, May 22: 9:30 am – 6:00 pm

Round trip is approximately 30 minutes. Reservations should be made directly with Sheraton Hotel at (732) 225-8300 and the Hilton Garden Inn at (732) 225-0900.

NJ Transit’s Access Link:
Access Link is the public, paratransit service for people with disabilities who are unable to use the NJ Transit local fixed route bus systems. In order to use Access Link, you must first apply for eligibility. Click here for more information.

Access Link service is comparable to the bus in that it is available during the same days and hours as the regularly scheduled local fixed route bus service, including weekends and holidays.

Eligible individuals may make transportation appointments to the New Jersey Convention & Expo Center for Abilities Expo any day between the hours of 7:30 am and 4:30 pm by calling (800) 955-2321 [TTY (800) 955-6765].
