Leave it to a snowboarder to come up with something this cool. And leave it to Abilities Expo to make sure it gets to you. The Wheelchair Super X (WSX) Fun Course is nothing short of a blast and is open to everyone, regardless of ability. Not only will you have the opportunity pit your skills against the twists, turns and bumps in the track, you can park your own chair and ride the Scootair (wheelchair/scooter). This active lifestyle product, designed by extreme athlete Trevor “Trevair” Snowden, allows you to push manually or simply pop a wheelie, place the magswitch (magnet) on the footplate, turn the dial to lock on and away you go!

Since his 1997 snowboarding accident, Trevair has been busy. Determined not to be limited by his new circumstances, he remained a force in the world of extreme sports, setting a video world record for the longest wheelchair jump, a 40-foot water jump then the first-ever box grind. If Trevair isn’t making ‘em, he’s breaking ‘em —world records, that is.

The knowledge and experience Trevair gained by co-inventing and designing with the best and the worst of them has focused his vision of what works well in this market of extreme, active lifestyles. “I’m pumped on the new signature model,” Trevair said of the Scootair. “Specially designed with X-fusion shox suspension and a KVA stainless frame, it is the strongest and lightest suspension chair ever created.

“There are so many adjustable features like the foot rest, wheel position and Loc-out Air shox,” he explained. “The Scootair was also designed to do box grinds, which we will have at the Wheelchair Super X at Abilities Expo for those who want to take it to the next level.” Combined with the electric component, the Scootair is equipped with front and rear suspension, two speeds which allow it to go 12 to 18 mph, a hub motor by Trikke and rear disc brakes for power stops.

And, the best part, you get to take it for a spin at Abilities Expo!
