The area will be anchored by the Team of Advocates for Special Kids, a prominent non-profit organization that strives to enable people with disabilities to reach their maximum potential by providing them, their families and the professionals who serve them with training, support, information, resources and referrals. What began as advocacy for children has since evolved to focus on all ages, especially with regards to assistive technology.
TASK will sponsor the AT Pavilion Interactive Demo Lab and offer Expo visitors interactive computer experience...it's IT with a little help from AT! Workstations will be set up so that people with disabilities and their families can test drive such adaptive computer equipment as alternative keyboards, joysticks, trackballs, mice, switches and more. In addition, there will be a myriad of software titles designed to enable and enhance the experience of individuals with visual, auditory and developmental disabilities.
Also on display will be a collection of toys, communication tools, adaptive devices, portable word processors, low-tech items, blind/low vision equipment and much more! It's a fun, interactive experience for the whole family!

The AT Pavilion will also feature top-tier companies and organizations whose cutting edge products and services include adaptive hardware, communication devices, mobility equipment, transportation apparatus, access to a vast network of AT solutions and others. The Pavilion will offer a series of enlightening product demonstrations that may be the key to making your life easier. Stop by and enjoy demos of adaptive computer software and equipment, wireless technology, telecommunication devices for people with hearing loss, educational tools for people with learning challenges and much more!
