Presented by Supervisor Roland Delacerda, Parking Enforcement, City of Houston
9:00am - 2:30pm
Meeting Rooms 104-107
Advanced registration is required. See below for details.
While parking illegally in handicap parking spaces might not rate as the most serious of criminal offenses, violators who can walk a few extra feet to enter a business are often obstructing access for those who cannot. Good citizenship requires that we all do our part to ensure that the rights of those with physical disabilities are respected and protected.
The City of Houston needs your help!
As part of Mayor Annise D. Parker's Volunteer Initiative Program, the City of Houston Parking Management is looking for individuals to participate in the Disabled Parking Enforcement Program.
The Disabled Parking Volunteer Program was developed to provide accessible parking to individuals whose needs require additional parking spaces. With the generous help of citizens like you, Parking Management is better able to ensure parking space availability to those who need it most. The program allows citizens to help make their city more accessible to the disabled.
Attendees must be 18 years or older.
There is no fee to attend this workshop.
Advanced registration is required.
