User’s First Alliance
Gaining access to the seating and mobility equipment that best suits your needs is one of the most important quality of life aspects for wheelchair users. Visit the User’s First Alliance booth all day long to personally meet a User’s First Alliance representative. Representatives will provide you with helpful worksheets to ensure you meet all the exhibitors on the show floor who have seating and mobility equipment for you to see. Whether you’re using a manual or a power wheelchair, understanding the options available to you is critical to getting the best wheelchair possible.

Central Atlanta Table Tennis Club
Adaptive table tennis is one of the most enjoyable sports on the Paralympic Games program. There are 5 wheelchair divisions and 5 standing disabled divisions. The sport is accessible to many people regardless of disability. Local Atlanta players will show off their skills as well as teach lessons to attendees who would like to know more.

More than ever assistance dogs are meeting the needs of people with different disabilities. Meet several assistance dogs and their human partners. Watch them demonstrate the many ways they work together to achieve independence in various areas of their lives. Following the demo, join us to learn some of the basic commands for the dogs.

Hydred Makabali, Semi-professional Pool Player

Meet semiprofessional pool player Hydred Makabali as she shows of her skills playing pool, a sport that has recently gained recognition for it's pure recreation value. Hydred, who uses a wheelchair, began playing pool as part of her therapy following her injury. Hydred will demonstrate adaptive techniques for the sport, play against several other players and give attendees a chance to try the game for themselves. It's a lot of fun, picking up a pool stick, shooting the array of balls and practicing over and over to get the shots just right!

Kids will delight at the opportunity to transform their face into a beautiful butterfly, a swashbuckling pirate, or a sweet kitten! Stop by the face painter’s stand between 1:00pm and 3:00pm for a complimentary face painting. Select designs only. Paints are FDA approved professional face paints and wash off with water. Just for kids, ages 18 and under.

Meet Namel "Tapwaterz" Norris and Ricardo "Rickfire" Velasquez of 4 Wheel City - two talented hip-hop artists and motivational speakers in wheelchairs due to gun violence. Join us for their uplifting and entertaining performance. Their mission is to use hip-hop music and culture to create more opportunities for the disabled and inspire people not to give up in life. In addition, show the world that people with disabilities can still have talents, dreams, and deserve to be treated equal. 4 Wheel City performs their original music as well as motivational speak at hospitals, schools, rehabilitation centers, fundraisers, and events, all over the world. Full Radius Dance, one of only a handful of physically-integrated dance companies in the United States, will present several dance pieces. Comprised of dancers with and without physical disabilities, the company illustrates that inclusion in the performing arts creates power, beauty and inspiration. Want to dance yourself? No Limits Wheelchair Sports
Wheelchair football is a rapidly growing sport for people with disabilities. It is a very adaptable and fun sport that almost anyone can play. All players use a wheelchair to play but it is not a requirement that the athlete use a wheelchair in their everyday life. Team players from No Limits Wheelchair Sports will present a demonstration of the game. The No Limits League has athletes ranging in ages from 4 to 90 playing this sport and they will be happy to share ways that you can get involved in the local Atlanta area.

U.S. Power Soccer Association
Watch and learn as the best local teams demonstrate and train attendees on the techniques of power wheelchair soccer. Discover this very active and growing sport that is open to power wheelchair users of all ages. Local players will demonstrate how they combine their skills as wheelchair users with the speed and power of the chair itself, to participate in this extremely challenging game similar to soccer. Then try the sport out for yourself and learn where you can get involved in the Atlanta area.
